What you'll contribute to the team:
Demonstrated sales and customer service results in a fast-paced environment
Availability for varied weekly shifts including weekend, closing and opening hour shifts
Effective communication skills, being open to feedback and the ability to act on it.
A willingness to learn and adapt; is flexible to change and open to try new ways of doing things.
Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members to provide excellent customer service.
High level of energy to promote a positive work environment.

Requirements

Retail Associate Role and Responsibilities

  • Welcoming and engaging with customers as they enter the store

  • Assessing customers’ needs and suggesting solutions to their problems

  • Working with cash registers and processing payments

  • Setting and attaining sales goals

  • Giving customers advice about sales and promotions

  • Using upselling techniques to increase store sales

  • Recommending the best products to customers

  • Cleaning and restocking the store throughout the day, before opening and after closing


Retail Skills and Requirements

  • Comprehensive understanding of the store products

  • Customer service skills

  • Basic math skills

  • The ability to use a cash register

  • Strong level of professionalism at work

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Patience when dealing with difficult customers

  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

Calyco is a home decor and gift store for the modern consumer. We have been in Clayton, NC for 4 years as an interior design firm, and we have expanded to bring our passion for all things home to our community. We are looking for part time staff at Calyco.
